Águas Azuis participates in Navalshore 2022

Águas Azuis, a Special Purpose Entity (SPE) established between thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, Embraer Defense & Security and Atech for the construction of Tamandaré Class frigates for the Brazilian Navy, is among the participants of the 16th edition of Navalshore, the largest event for the Latin American shipbuilding industry, which will take place between the 16th and 18th of August, in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

The CEO of Águas Azuis, Fernando Queiroz, will be one of the speakers on the panel “Programs for Renewal and Expansion of Naval Means of the Brazilian Navy”, scheduled for the 16th, at 16:45. On the occasion, he will present a status of the Tamandaré Class Frigates Program, recognized as the most modern and innovative naval project ever developed in the country. The frigates are being built at thyssenkrupp Estaleiro Brasil Sul, in Itajaí (SC).

“Navalshore will be a great opportunity to reinforce the importance of this program. Obtaining the frigates is part of the Navy’s efforts to modernize its Naval Force, thus allowing the renewal of the Brazilian fleet. The ships are being built from a technological platform that is unprecedented in Brazil and the project provides for a strong transfer of technology, which will ensure the maintenance of the fleet throughout the life cycle of the vessels and will contribute to the strengthening of the national naval defense cluster”, highlights Queiroz.

Navalshore takes place between August 16 and 18, from 1 pm to 8 pm, at Expo Mag. More information about the event can be obtained at www.navalshore.com.br/pt/.
